In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy offers his thoughts on the integral role Catholic schools and religious education programs play in the “formation” of a young person’s values and character. In his view, “The Christian process of formation based on Gospel values is essential for the educational enterprise. The family and the Church must complement the educational process of our schools. The Church itself must emphasize and re-emphasize the challenge of the Gospel to grow in our faith.”
