Bishop Murphy dedicates his weekly “Reflections” column in the Montana Catholic Register to answering the question, “What does it mean to be a Roman Catholic?” He characterizes Roman Catholics as people who share in the mission of Jesus as priest, prophet and king. “Our very identity as Roman Catholics calls us to live lives faithful to the Gospel,” says Bishop Murphy. “In doing so, we are challenged to accept the Gospel and the teachings of the Church not on our terms or conditions, but on the terms of Jesus and His Church.”
