Archbishop Murphy delivered the keynote address for the Archdiocese of Seattle Youth Convention at John F. Kennedy High School in Burien, WA. His fundamental theme was simple yet powerful: dare to dream – to be a person who dares to see that our lives and our world can be and must be different than they are now. He encouraged all young people to avoid the temptation of standing still – for such a decision will prevent them from taking the risk which the Gospel and life offers to them. The archbishop concluded by stating, “As young people standing at the threshold of tomorrow, we need you to be dreamers not of what is, but of what can be.”
