Bishop Murphy begins his address by stating, “Graduation from high school is more than a ritual which concludes 12 years of education. … Rather, graduation from high school is a unique passage in the life experience which recognizes the value and importance of young people as they journey from adolescence to adulthood.” He challenges all of the graduates of the St. Leo High School Class of 1985 to dare to take the risk of stepping into the unknown, the uncertain, the unfamiliar. In doing so, they will make a difference in the world by creating peace, joy, hope and love along the way.
