Bishop Murphy delivered this homily at St. John’s Lutheran Nursing Home in Billings, MT. The nursing home was one of the stops on a Respect Life Pilgrimage he and the Most Reverend Elden Curtiss, Bishop of the Diocese of Helena, MT, made to promote the gift of life throughout the state. Bishop Murphy offered the following thought, “In a society where we so often discard what is old or worn out, you are a reminder of the dignity of the human person, the beauty of old age, the importance of the respect and reverence we owe to you for the many gifts you have shared with us.”
