Bishop Murphy shares two “radical” ideas with all of the faithful that came out of his recent retreat experience with the Bishops of the Northwest in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. The retreat moderator challenged him to focus attention on the basic truths of our faith tradition. He was also challenged to confront the growing lack of appreciation for the reality of sin in the world today. Bishop Murphy concludes with the following thought, “Radical ideas are not necessarily new. Most of the time, they are the discovery of values we once knew, but they need to be appropriated in our lives once again.”
