Bishop Murphy dedicates his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column to the gift of life – from conception to natural death. The value, dignity and sanctity of life was one of the central points of emphasis of his ministry as a bishop. He says, “The Christian vision of life has its dignity grounded in our creation as images of God and our destiny has been purchased at the price of the blood of the Lord. The value of human life does not depend on a person’s size, stage of development, physical or mental health, or utility to society.”
