Forgiveness is the crux of Archbishop Murphy’s homily delivered at the Red Mass celebrated at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA. The Annual Red Mass is a gathering of judges, attorneys, politicians and all other professionals involved in the practice of law. Archbishop Murphy believes forgiveness should know no bounds. “And yet, despite the high importance and need of the law, we cannot limit our lives to living by the law alone,” said Archbishop Murphy. “The love of law should lead to the law of love.” Forgiveness brings a new freedom to all of us, a freedom we desperately need.
