In the first in a series of six columns on spirituality for the Catholic Northwest Progress, Archbishop Murphy describes the challenge for all Christians to live a life rooted in spirituality that makes a difference. He believes human beings possess a deeply rooted desire in their hearts for “something more.” “In reality, spirituality involves ‘doing’ nothing, but rather making the conscious decisions and actions that reflect and fashion our identity,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Spirituality asks us to recognize and name the ideas, ideals and values that give meaning to our lives.”
