In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy comments on the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults – the process whereby young people and adults become members of the Roman Catholic faith community. He believes this process involves so much more than a decision by one individual. In his view, “The RCIA is not a program of instructions to prepare people to join the Church. Rather, it is a process which calls the entire parish community to become involved with those young people and adults interested in becoming members of the Roman Catholic faith community.”
