Bishop Murphy began his annual Easter “Reflections” column in The Harvest by stating, “Yet, if there is one feast in the life of the Church which gives meaning to all the others, it is Easter, the feast which celebrates the triumph over sin and death.” He proceeds to describe how individuals and parish communities can embrace the spirit of Easter most meaningfully through the celebration of the Eucharist. In closing, he offers the following thought, “May Easter life, joy and hope be yours to the fullest. May we have the courage to follow the Lord today and make His presence come alive within our own lives and in our parish communities. Have a blessed Easter!”
