Archbishop Murphy offered this homily at a Mass to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Immaculate Conception Church in Seattle, WA. He reminds all present of God’s call to be a holy people. The archbishop asks all people to not only be cognizant of the reality of racism but also to do something to diminish and ultimately eliminate its existence in society. We must make God’s Word come alive. “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream, a dream that asks all of us to recognize the dawn today by appreciating the fact that we are brothers and sisters to one another,” said Archbishop Murphy.
