The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is the subject of Archbishop Murphy’s weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. He views the Holy Spirit as the promised gift left to the church by Jesus until the end of time. It is essential for all God’s people to allow the Spirit to touch our lives. “Pentecost reminds us especially that the Spirit becomes present among us when we respond to our baptismal call to ministry,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Each one of us must be open to allow God’s work to become manifest in our lives by who we are and what we do.”
