Introduction
Bishop Murphy in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column explains the connection of the local parish community to the national and universal church in the post Vatican II era. “No local parish community is able to have an identity exclusively on its own,” said Bishop Murphy. “It must have a relationship to the neighboring parishes and to a diocese which in turn relates to the national and international presence of the Church in which we live.”
