Stewardship
Introduction
Bishop Murphy was a pioneer in the field of stewardship. It was one of his passions. He stated that all Christians by their baptism and confirmation are called to a lifestyle of stewardship. “Stewardship calls people to recognize possessions as gifts of God’s love,” said Bishop Murphy. “Created in the image of God, human beings must use these gifts for their own good and the good of others whereby we offer to God the prayerful acknowledgement of his sovereignty.”
